Since 2019, New Hanover Regional Medical Center has consistently received a B grade from The Leapfrog Group, a national non-profit focused on hospital safety. The hospital scores well in many areas, but the latest report shows issues with infection prevention, post-surgical care, and the responsiveness of nurses and doctors.
