Two music-making orgs are joining together for a patriotic concert: The Sea Notes Choral Society and Brunswick Concert Band. There are two opportunities to see and hear this free concert, called Sunrise Over America: Saturday, June 24 and Sunday, June 25, 3:00pm at Odell Williamson Auditorium.  Outgoing Sea Notes President Jane Skubic and choir Director Larry Reinhart spoke with us about the show; listen above or see the transcript below.

The Sea Notes Choral Society is 43 years old this year. According to Vice President and singer Tom Wisniewski, the group is stronger than ever. There are 150 singers on the rolls and a waiting list to join of about 2 years--except for Tenors. These, Tom says, could be pulled off the street to join. The Sea Notes Spring concert, Everything's Coming Up Roses, is Saturday and Sunday, April 1 & 2, at Odell Williamson Auditorium. Both performances are at 3:00pm and free.

Sea Notes

This weekend, Sea Notes Choral Society presents the It's Almost Christmas! concert at Odell Williamson Auditorium.   About 120 singers perform both sacred and secular, traditional and unusual selections. The performance is free, but donations are accepted at the door. Listen to our conversation with concert Director Diane Huffman and Board President Jane Skubic above.

The Sea Notes Choral Society is performing its summer concert, American Patriot, at the end of this month, on Saturday and Sunday, June 25th and 26th.  The show is directed by the Sea Notes' new director, Lois Moore, who has brought new challenges to the singers. This concert promises to be something new for this group after 42 years of performing.
