Midday Interview: James Kaufman on His New Book "The Concealers"

Former lawyer, judge, corporate executive and non-fiction writer James J. Kaufman has become a successful writer of fiction.  His first novel, The Collectibles, won several awards and prompted him to write two more books to create a trilogy.  Book 2 is out now, called The Concealers.  Jim has a knack for compassionately portraying characters undergoing life-changing challenges.  He will be at Barnes and Noble at Mayfaire on Saturday from 3 to 6 pm to sign copies.  For more information, visit his website Jamesjkaufman.com

Opera House Theatre Company presents the Cole Porter musical Kiss Me, Kate! starring Nygel Robinson and Kendra Goehring-Garrett. The play features a sparring ex-husband and wife who are attempting to stage a musical version of The Taming of the Shrew, in which they will play Petrucchio and Kate. At 15 years old, she already has a prolific acting career, including roles in such diverse films and television shows as "Criminal Minds," "Grey's Anatomy" and "Fallen Down Dead." DiBenedetto is most well known for starring role in the film "Love is All You Need?" for which she received Special Recognition for Best Actress Performance at the 2012 Sonoma International Film Festival.

The second production of Red Barn Studio's Summer Season is here! In the play 'Red' by John Logan viewers will follow the path of master abstract expressionist Mark Rothko and his assistant Ken as they try to design a series of murals for what is lauded as the biggest commission in the history of modern art.  The production will run from July 3-July 26 with showings Thurs-Sat at 7:30 pm and 3 pm on Sundays.
