Listener Angela wrote on Tuesday:

I was disappointed this morning to hear irresponsible framing of abortion numbers in your reporting. No concrete causation was offered in which you shared any data to support why abortion numbers in NC have dropped. However meaningless correlation between numbers dropping and [the proposed bill] forcing women to wait [72 hours] was mentioned by the reporter.

WHQR is sad to announce the loss of American radio broadcaster and voice of the Metropolitan Opera radio broadcasts, Margaret Juntwait. Margaret passed away this morning after a long battle with ovarian cancer.

That's right...your favorite part of the holiday season is back! Be sure to tune in to 96.7 FM at 1 pm on Saturdays for a new season of LIVE at the MET. Never miss any of your favorite operas again! This Saturday, December 6 the Metropolitan Opera Broadcast Season will kick off the holidays with "The Barber of Seville." For more information about the MET's schedule click here.

I seldom listen to HQR because I detest ‘chatter radio’, i.e. Talk of the Nation and Diane Rehm. And when I accidentally catch A Smooth Landing I do NOT recognize this as my station. I really enjoy Wait Wait. That’s my 2 cents, for what it’s worth.

Listener Michele wrote earlier this week:

I'm back from a week's vacation, and picking up some Feedback from the last two weeks.

Listener Madeline wrote:

I'm glad to know that the station does not screen their comments from listeners, but sometimes I think "what a bunch of whiney people. Go ahead and listen to another station. We know you aren't giving anyway!" [The people at WHQR] are doing a great job.
