A couple of weeks ago, I read a message from listener Bo, who said he would listen but not longer contribute because he felt that WHQR and NPR are consistently liberal. By the way, in response to inquiries, this Bo is not our old pal Bo Biggs from Lumberton, who is a conservative and a valued supporter of WHQR. At any rate, here’s what Delthea Simmons wrote:
WHQR Public Radio announces that Jemila Ericson has resigned from her position as Classical Host and Midday Interview Host. Her last official day on air will be December 26, 2014. Jemila notified station management, staff and board of her decision on November 25, 2014. She has been a wonderful part of WHQR for over 20 years and will be deeply missed by colleagues and listeners alike.
I love, love, love everything about your programming! Home, car, wherever, WHQR is the station we tune our radio to. Sure there are some programs we don't care for but we have the option to change the channel because we know there are other WHQR listeners who might enjoy what we don't and we wouldn't think of asking you to change just for us. Keep up the great work!
Jude Eden and Peggy Pancoe Rosoff stopped by to speak with us about the Wilmington Jewish Film Festival being held this Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at Thalian Hall. Full details available on their Facebook Page.
