Thanks to vacation schedule and some minor health-related down time, we have rearranged some people’s times on air – you’ve heard Bob Workmon, Gina Gambony, Todd Patterson, Rachel Lewis Hilburn and yours truly taking guest slots, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria, you name it.

I was disappointed this morning to hear irresponsible framing of abortion numbers in your reporting. No concrete causation was offered in which you shared any data to support why abortion numbers in NC have dropped. However meaningless correlation between numbers dropping and [the proposed bill] forcing women to wait [72 hours] was mentioned by the reporter.

Of course our big news this week was the visit of Cokie Roberts to Wilmington on Wednesday. It was our largest fundraising event ever, with 500 people in attendance.

Hailing from Nashville, North Carolina, Valerie's music is a silky hodgepodge of originals, jazz standards, blues and legendary songwriters. This dulcet combination of music is of the heart and for the soul. Do not miss out on this powerful Americana trio.

It is currently 23:39 and you have your hideous strident Jazz program ruining another evening when people wish to be lulled to sleep. The radio would have been turned off a long time ago except for the BBC which follows. I am aware that I am not the only one unhappy with this daily abusive cacophony so we must be being abused to indulge some WHQR upper echelon exercising their 'Radio With Vision'."

Hello. Please stop your radio hosts from reading the national and world news topics that be will covered in the upcoming NPR programs. It’s too redundant. Many times the national news hosts already preview the upcoming story. It does not give our own news people more clout - it just sounds weird. I turn the radio off when I hear the Wilmington staff do this.

Lucky us! The highly acclaimed jazz duo Lisa and Galen are joining us, along with special guest and student Sean. The talented Lisa Rankin is known for her dexterity on the piano, the keybass, the flute, the recorder, the tin whistle, the harmonica, the six string guitar, the twelve string guitar and her amazing vocals. Galen Hunsucker is magnificent on the electric and acoustic guitars, and after spending more than 30 years in the music business captivates audiences with his stellar vocals.

Remember how in the last couple of weeks, we’ve had lots of compliments about various aspects of the station? Well, just when you think you’re flying high…

This is the other kind of Feedback.

I live in Wilmington. Your broadcast has been stuttering for the last several weeks and very hard to listen to. What is going on?

Listener Susan Hinger found a very creative way to give us feedback on something that we have been announcing. She wrote us a poem.
