HD2

Listener John wrote after our Partnership Challenge drive: “I know you are pleased to have the recent pledge drive completed and so am I. While I usually only listen to the station while driving around town I find the unrelenting clownish theatrics employed by your staff and volunteers during pledge week to be quite annoying and offensive. I would double my annual contribution if you would cease these annoying tactics. I realize that funding is essential for your operations but isn't there a better way?”

I love, love, love everything about your programming!  Home, car, wherever, WHQR is the station we tune our radio to. Sure there are some programs we don't care for but we have the option to change the channel because we know there are other WHQR listeners who might enjoy what we don't and we wouldn't think of asking you to change just for us. Keep up the great work!

June, 2012:

Now web listeners can experience what our HD2 listeners have enjoyed for years: our 24-hour all-classical channel. No matter whether you're at home, on your boat, or traveling around the world, you can join us here at the station.

At present the service consists of a classical service from Minnesota Public Radio, with brief local announcements. As we move forward, you'll hear more local content on the channel.
