Midday Interview: Rhonda Bellamy of Arts Council on "Arty Party" Held this Saturday

Rhonda Bellamy is the Executive Director or the Arts Council of Wilmington.  She told us about The Arty Party coming up, which will raise funds for local artists.  It’s on Saturday from 7 to 10 pm at CFCC’s Union Station, 502 N. Wilmington Gets an Arts Council

Minnie Evans Sculpture Garden and Bottle Chapel in Airlie Gardens, designed by artist Virginia Wright Frierson. Minnie Evans was the gatekeeper of Airlie Gardens from 1949 to 1974 and is considered to be one of America’s most important visionary artists.

Despite a denied funding request from New Hanover County earlier this year, an arts council will be launched in Wilmington next month. After a three-year effort, the North Carolina Arts Council made the announcement this week.
