Abstract painter Willie Marlowe has returned to her Whitesville roots with a show of her paintings at the Columbus County Arts Council, which opened the first week of January. WHQR's Megan Williams talked with the artist about her work, and her relationship with her hometown.

Wilmington, NC, January 7, 2006 – Painter Willie Marlowe has shown her work on three continents, but this is her first exhibition in her hometown.
