"The Vagina Monologues" at UNCW to benefit Rape Crisis Center

A UNCW student production of Eve Ensler's "The Vagina Monologues" will run for two performances:  February 16th at 7 PM and February 19th at 2 PM.  Tickets can be purchased online at etix.com or at Sharkey's Box Office in the Fisher Student Center.

The 90-minute play is a series of monologues, read by women in the community, that addresses the social stigma that still exists regarding violence against women -- as well as other issues surrounding female sexuality.  The production is intended to benefit Coastal Horizons Rape Crisis Center and the national non-profit organization V-Day.

During our Classical block on Tuesdays through Fridays at 12:06, Jemila Ericson and other staff members host a celebration of the arts and culture of the Lower Cape Fear. They interview artists, actors, dancers, writers and creators of community events--all the inspiring movers and shakers who enrich our lives.
