Three Arrested for Vandalizing Ashley High

By Michelle Bliss

Wilmington, NC –

The vandalism includes more than 80 broken windows at Ashley High School.

Two of the suspects are Ashley High students, who were arrested during class with multiple charges.

New Hanover County Detective Steven Blisset says alcohol was a factor.

"It's unfortunate for their families that they had to find out what's happened. I believe there was alcohol involved and I think that it was just bad decisions that they made."

It will cost New Hanover County Schools between $30,000 and 40,000 to replace the windows.
