CAPE FEAR MEMORIAL BRIDGE: Updates, resources, and context

Theatre Seasons: UNCW and Guerrilla Theatre

To help you set your theatrical calendar, WHQR presents a series of look-aheads with regional theater companies. First up: UNCW's theater Program, and Guerrilla Theater.

By Megan V. Williams

With the cold weather finally settled in, Wilmington's stages are just starting to heat up with their new theatre seasons.

Over the next three Fridays, WHQR goes behind the curtain with the leaders of theatre companies around the region to learn what they have planned.

In this installment, it's two youth-oriented, and yet decidedly different, groups: underground scene-sters, Guerilla Theatre, and the UNCW Theatre Program that spawned them.

Professor Paul Castagno is the head of UNCW's Theatre Department. He starts out with a look at his students' role in the grand opening of the University's new Cultural Arts Building.

UNCW Theatre Program's Upcoming Season

Guerrilla Theater was founded by a group of UNCW Theatre graduates, and is headed by Richard Davis, currently News Director at WAAV.

Guerrilla Theatre's upcoming shows are listed on the SoapboxLaundro-Lounge's schedule.
