Subs Needed for Work at Camp Lejeune
By Catherine M. Welch
Wilmington, NC – The North Carolina Military Business Center is hosting a meet and greet with sub-contractors in Wilmington Tuesday for millions of dollars in construction work.
Out-of-state contractor, Clayco, is looking to dole out $19 million worth of contracts for a pair of dining halls at Camp Lejeune.
It will be awarding contracts for such construction work as roofing, dry wall and concrete work.
The North Carolina Military Business Center says defense spending is booming in the state. And that the military industry had a $2.4 billion impact on North Carolina last year.
