SOUP TO NUTS LIVE! presents Jamie Hoover on Thursday, August 11 at 6:30 pm in the MC Erny Gallery at WHQR.
Jamie Hoover is a founding member of Charlotte NC's The Spongetones, anchoring the band as guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, producer and arranger for 37+ years and outputting a diverse portfolio of original songwriting, jangle pop riffs, and Beatlesque vocals. Jamie has toured, recorded, and/or sat-in with the likes of Graham Parker, Don Dixon, Marti Jones, Hootie & The Blowfish, and The Smithereens. His production skills can be found on a wide range of projects, including albums by folk rock pioneer Bob Lind, roots & country singer/songwriter Rebecca Rippy, an enduring musical theme for ABC News, as well as Jamie's own solo CDs and 4 duo releases with Spongetones band mate, Steve Stoeckel. Jamie now lives in nearby Brunswick County, where he continues to record and produce from his home studio.
