Wilmington, NC – Unofficial results show Wilmington Mayor Bill Saffo held onto his seat, receiving 57% of the vote over his main challenger Harper Peterson.
Saffo says for the upcoming term his main focus will be the survey of city workers' salaries.
Saffo says to fix Wilmington's problems in general and sewer woes in particular, teamwork is necessary.
We've got to work together. Not only the city, but the county, the state, federal government everybody coming together and working together to make this a better community for all of us to live in.
Saffo says it's an honor to be officially elected mayor of his hometown.
