Two-hundred fifty years ago, American colonists were not pleased with the Stamp Act imposed by the British Crown. Protests erupted, including protests in Wilmington, North Carolina. The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Stamp Defiance Chapter has been commemorating the Stamp Act protests all year, with the final event tonight in UNCW's Morton Hall (Bryan Auditorium).
Tonight at 6:00 (Tuesday, March 29), professors from the History Department will discuss the significance of the Stamp Act protests after a re-enactment of the protests that occurred in Wilmington.
