Wilmington, NC – Residents will get to tell New Hanover County commissioners Monday night what they think of the proposed Titan Cement plant.
Titan Cement officials will be on hand for the meeting that will put aside 15 minutes for the cement company and then 15 minutes for residents to comment on the plant slated for the banks of the Northeast Cape Fear River in Castle Hayne.
Concerned citizens say they're worried about the cement plant pumping toxic emissions into the environment.
Titan says it will comply with EPA limits.
New Hanover County Commissioners have approved a $4.2 million tax incentive and the state issued Titan a $300,000 One North Carolina Fund grant.
