About the Author:
Nancy Whitfield taught school for fifteen years in her native state of Tennessee before moving to Philadelphia and assuming the role of Assistant Director, On-Campus Programs in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2004, she moved to New York City and worked in domestic and international disaster relief for the United Methodist Committee on Relief UMCOR). While in NYC, she served as Lay Leader at Christ Church United Methodist. After being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2007, she is now retired and lives on the coast of North Carolina with her husband, Rick. She loves writing, being with her friends, family and laughter-- not necessarily in that order.
