Police Say Railroad Robbers Got Away With Pork

RENEE MONTAGNE, HOST:

Good morning. I'm Renee Montagne with a story worthy of the Wild West. Police are on the hunt for the bandits who robbed a Union Pacific railroad car after it made an emergency stop in Victorville, California. The robbers made off with 20 boxes. Police told the Victorville's Daily Press that the train robbers probably didn't know what was in the railcar before they broke in, because their haul turned out to be $200 worth of pigs' feet. It's MORNING EDITION. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
