We want to remind everybody they can join us here most weeks at the Chase Bank Auditorium in beautiful downtown Chicago, Illinois. For tickets and information, you can go to wbez.org. You can find a link at our website, which is waitwait.npr.org, home of Sandwich Monday.

(SOUNDBITE OF LAUGHTER)

SAGAL: Right now, panel, it's time for you to answer some questions about this week's news. Brian, everybody in the political world has been trying to solve a puzzle: why exactly did Governor Jan Brewer of Arizona do what to President Obama?

BRIAN BABYLON: Oh, drama.

SAGAL: Drama.

BABYLON: She pointed her finger in his face.

SAGAL: She did. She got all up in his grill.

BABYLON: Yeah.

(SOUNDBITE OF BELL)

SAGAL: This much is clear, the governor met the president at his plane when he landed in Arizona, and they talked about something and it seemed to get heated and Brewer pointed her index finger at the president.

BABYLON: But I don't think that was a - well, I've looked at the picture, it didn't look like - I've seen some finger pointing.

SAGAL: Yeah.

(SOUNDBITE OF LAUGHTER)

BABYLON: Okay, and that looked just like a - and then someone took a picture.

SAGAL: Oh really?

BABYLON: It didn't look like a mean finger point.

SAGAL: More it was like, look, I drew a little face on the end of my index finger.

BABYLON: Yeah.

(SOUNDBITE OF LAUGHTER)

SAGAL: Like he talks to you. Maybe it was that.

PETER GROSZ: Maybe Obama had a giant piece of like a nacho on his mouth.

(SOUNDBITE OF LAUGHTER)

SAGAL: Yeah, oh, look, Mr. President.

GROSZ: She's like, Mr. President, you have a nacho on your mouth.

(SOUNDBITE OF LAUGHTER)

BABYLON: It looked like she was screaming at him, yeah.

SAGAL: It's possible, you never know. She says the president was angry at her because of something she wrote about him in a recent book. The president says no big deal, it was completely cordial, nobody got angry. According to lip readers, the governor took one look at the president and reflexively asked him for his green card.

(SOUNDBITE OF LAUGHTER)

SAGAL: It's Arizona, it's her duty to do that now, under the law.

GROSZ: Yeah, Air Force One didn't land, it got pulled over.

SAGAL: Yeah.
