Wilmington, NC – New Hanover County officials are urging some residents to boil their water before drinking it.
Friday morning's strong winds caused a power outage that impacted water pressure in the Monterey Heights water system. The county says water quality testing takes about a day.
The county is urging residents in these following areas to boil their water before drinking it:
Monterey Heights subdivision
Masonboro Commons Shopping Center
Winds Ridge subdivision
Veteran's Park Complex
Ashley High School
Murray Middle School
Anderson Elementary School
Veteran's Park Commons
Heritage Woods subdivision
