Hosted in Mexico City, Vive Latino is one of Latin America's most important music festivals.

Since 1998, the Vive Latino music festival has drawn thousands of Latin music fans to Mexico City for performances by Spanish-language artists. At this year's event, the crowd was 200,000 strong and the lineup was diverse, including the Latin rock band Café Tacuba, Spanish rock legend Enrique Bunbury and the politically outspoken Mexican rap-rock band Molotov, as well as plenty of lesser-known acts.

Jasmine Garsd and Felix Contreras, hosts of NPR Music's Alt.Latino podcast, were there — and they join Weekend Edition Sunday's Rachel Martin to share their favorite discoveries.
