Wilmington, NC – Members of the Coastal Carolina Virginia Tech Alumni Association will take a moment of silence at noon Tuesday to remember those killed Monday on campus.
Channing King is Co-Chair of the alumni association. She says students never worried about their safety on campus.
We just kind of floated around campus. We didn't really think about somebody actually bringing a gun on campus, but to kill that many people, that would have been the very farthest thought from our minds.
King says she is contacting the group's 900 members to decide whether they want to hold some kind of gathering. She says the Coastal Carolina Virginia Tech Alumni Association stretches from New Bern to Florence South Carolina.
