Literary Journals -- Small Readership, Bigger Impact

UNCW's Creative Writing department has just released the second issue of its literary magazine, Ecotone, and celebrates with a launch party tonight. WHQR's Megan Williams sat down with the journal's editor to talk about what the journal means to his department and the writers it publishes.By Megan V. Williams

David Gessner is editor-in-chief of the literary journal, Ecotone, and a professor of creative writing at UNCW.

Support for local arts and cultural programming comes from WHQR members, and Landfall Foundation, an organization of residents who support projects enhancing health, education and the arts in New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender Counties.
