WHQR invites you to a public forum on the GenX water issue Wednesday night, July 19th from 7 - 9 PM at Odell Williamson Auditorium. The StarNews, WWAY, and HQR News will pose your questions to a panel of experts. You can also listen live, on 91.3 FM, WHQR.
A public forum to answer questions about the chemical GenX found in the Cape Fear River, which supplies Brunswick County with its drinking water, is scheduled for July 19 in Supply.
The GenX forum takes place at 7 p.m. in Brunswick Community College’s Odell Williamson Auditorium.
A panel including UNCW biological oceanography professor Dr. Larry Cahoon, UNCW aquatic toxicology/environmental endocrinology assistant professor Dr. Susanne Brander, Cape Fear River Keeper Kemp Burdette, North Carolina Rural Water Association executive director Daniel Wilson and author of the “GenX Study” construction and environmental engineering professor Dr. Detlef Knappe will answer questions from the public.
The forum is free to the public. Doors open at 6 p.m.
