Opera House Theatre Company has one more show before the 2014-15 season is put to bed: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. The company's season has been successful with audiences and critics so far...will this production rise to the occasion? That's on director Anthony Lawson's mind the day before the opening of the show.
Lawson has plenty of experience directing (and acting-and writing) for theater, but this is the first time he's held the reigns for Opera House-and his first Thalian Hall Mainstage directing gig to boot. Lucky for him, this classic musical comedy is right up his sleeve, all the way to his funny bone.
Opera House: "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" Wed-Sun, September 2-6 & & Fri-Sun, September 11-13
Lawson and actor Brad Mercier (Hysterium) joined us in the studio just before opening. This production has a limited run- as of this writing, there are only 5 performances remaining. Sunday performances are at 3:00pm; all other performances at 8:00pm. Tickets are available through the Thalian Hall Box Office.
