Fee Charged To Eat Foie Gras In Calif. Restaurants

And you may want to Google our last word in business today. That word is foie-kage. It's kind of like corkage, the fee restaurants charge to open a bottle of wine that you've brought in with you.
LINDA WERTHEIMER, HOST:
Foie-kage is the fee that Californians will have to pay if they want to eat foie gras - fatty goose or duck liver. They'll have to bring their own because starting thanks week, restaurants will be banned from serving the delicacy.
MONTAGNE: Animal rights activists fought for the ban because they say it's cruel to force feed the birds with tubes to fatten them up.
WERTHEIMER: Californians can still order or bring in the fancy liver from out of state. Several chefs say they're willing to serve it for that funny-sounding fee. And chefs who defy the ban and put foie-gras on the menu will pay their own fee - up to a $1,000 citation.
