Wilmington, NC – The Director of the Cucalorus Film Festival says they will accept submissions until July 28th.
Two deadlines have already passed, and Festival Director Dan Brawley says the third deadline will be the last. He says he's received 500 submissions so far, but expects to receive 800 submissions before the final deadline.
Films always take longer to edit than you originally plan for. Film festivals tend to have two or three different deadlines. There's always an early deadline, which is a little less expensive. Then there's a later deadline, give you an extra month to edit your film.
Brawley says this super-late deadline will bring in film submissions from countries all over the world. Moviemaker Magazine has called Cucalorus the best-kept secret on the indie circuit.
