Communique: SkyWatch Bird Rescue Receives Significant Grant From Women's Impact Network

Women's Impact Network, or WIN, is a women's giving circle. It's an affiliate of the North Carolina

Community Networkwith the mission to maximize women's leadership in philanthropy and strengthen New Hanover County through collective giving. WIN has distributed $142,000 to local non-profits since its formation 5 years ago; this year, WIN granted $35,ooo to the non-profit SkyWatch Bird Rescue to upgrade its facilities and expand its rescue capacity.

SkyWatch applied to WIN for this grant early this year under the Environment theme. Next year, the theme is Arts & CultureWIN will announce more information and guidelines for application in early 2017.
