Sharecrop is a documentary featuring interviews with 10 individuals who were involved in sharecropping during the segregation era, from Wilmington, NC to the Mississippi Delta. Rare archival footage and photos are also presented throughout.  

A special screening of the film is Thursday, April 12 at Mayfaire Regal Cinema at 6:30 pm. Tickets are available online. At the time of this writing, 23 tickets are available.

Trinity Washington & Claudia Stack

Claudia Stack received a grant from Middle Road Foundation to create this film, which is her third feature documentary looking at historic education and economics in the South. In Sharecrop, 8th grade student Trinity Washington (now in high school at New Hanover High) provides the narration. Listen above to hear Claudia and Trinity talk about the film. They will both be at the screening Thursday evening.
