Lama Surya Das-the American Lama, the Brooklyn Buddha-is holding retreats in Raleigh and Wilmington this weekend. Listen to four small conversations with Lama Surya Das (below) touching on the retreats, the state of American Buddhism, spiritual context, the purpose of meditation, and more. 

Lama Surya Das is an authorized lama in the Tibetan Buddhist order and the founder of the Dzogchen Center. He is the author of the international bestseller Awakening the Buddha Within: Tibetan Wisdom for the Western World and 12 other books.

Raleigh 9/23 & 24: On Friday, a 7:00 pm talk on Befriending yourself and Befriending the world. On Saturday, 9:30am-4:00pm, a retreat on concepts from Lama Surya Das' latest book, Make Me One With Everything. These events are at Unity Church of the Triangle on Munford Drive.
