Communique: Annual Cape Fear Coin Show April 8 & 9 | Lower Cape Fear Coin Club

Apr 5, 2017

The day the Lower Cape Fear Coin Club (LCFCC) visited WHQR, I decided to bring my grandfather's coin collection. It meant a lot to my mom, but frankly, I don't know much about old coins. In striking contrast, these folks know a A LOT about coins. Listen to president Ray Flanigan and members Karen Forest and Jim Savage above. LCFCC's annual Coin Show is this weekend and runs in conjunction with the 70th Annual North Carolina Azalea Festival.

Azalea Belles will open and close the Coin Show, running Saturday, 4/8 10:00am-5:00pm and Sunday, 4/9 10:00am-4:00pm at the Elks Lodge at 5102 Oleander Drive. Over 40 coin dealer tables will be at the show (plus one devoted to stamps), a special Confederate monetary display from David Meisky, a Boy Scout Merit Badge class on Saturday from 1:30pm-3:30pm, raffles, door prizes, games for kids in the "Kid's Korner," a food truck, and free parking.
