CAPE FEAR MEMORIAL BRIDGE: Updates, resources, and context

Communique: 29th Annual Spelling Bee For Literacy-Thursday, September 15

Yasmin Tomkinson with Bee art in the MC Erny Gallery

The Cape Fear Literacy Council (CFLC) is holding its 29th Annual Spelling Bee for Literacy. Teams of 4 are invited to compete; the deadline to register a team is September 9th. The cost per team is $400, but it's free to watch the competition.

The Bee is at the Terraces on Sir Tyler on Thursday, September 15 at 7:00 pm. There are multiple ways for audience members to get in on the fun with games, raffles, and refreshments for everyone. Listen to CFLC Executive Director Yasmin Tomkinson talk about the event above-and hear an example of a (supposedly) level 1 word.

In case you listened to the story and are wondering: K-I-N-K-A J-O-U
