About the Artists:

Eunkyung Kim Cazier: After graduating with a degree in ceramic sculpture and Fine Art from Seoul National University of Science and Technology, Seoul Korea in 1992, I decided it was time to take on new challenges. I left my feelings for pottery and art behind and traveled to New York, achieving a degree in interior design. Then moving south to Wilmington, I pursued a career in architecture. I never thought that I would rekindle my passion for pottery and art that was left behind. I gave up my career to be a stay at home mother - a feeling that had been buried started to grow inside of me. Now I am a mother of two and a private art teacher. I don't have a lot of time for myself, but my desire for my art is much stronger than before.

Randy McNamara: Former Los Angeles artist, Randall McNamara recently moved to Wilmington.  His abstract paintings have been shown in several galleries in the area. He most recently won third prize in the Wilmington Art Association annual juried show. He combines his background in biology with his Masters of Fine Arts degree to create colorful, rich surfaced paintings filled with fluid, biomorphic shapes.

Mio Reynolds: Born in Tokyo, Japan, Mio came to the United States in 1966 after receiving an MA (Psychology) from International Christian University (ICU) in Tokyo and training at the National Institute of Mental Health in Japan. Mio then obtained a Ph.D. (Psychology) from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Mio continued on to teach at the college level for 10 years; at U of M as a Teaching Fellow; at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio as Assistant Professor while preparing her dissertation, and at Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, NY, as Assistant Professor. Mio then left academia and established, developed and managed Reynolds Research in Washington, DC for 30 years. Mio moved to Wilmington, NC, in 2005 to pursue a new career as an artist.
