Cinematique Presents: "Meet the Patels"

Monday-Wednesday, November 2-4, 7 pm

Wednesday, November 4, 4 pm

Thalian Hall Main Stage

A laugh-out-loud real life romantic comedy about Ravi Patel, an almost-30-year-old Indian-American who enters a love triangle between the woman of his dreams...and his parents. This hilarious and heartwarming documentary reveals how love is a family affair. (Rated PG, 1 hour 28 minutes)

"Ultimately a touching, funny documentary about family and cultural forces putting pressure on a first-generation Indian-American man to do what should come naturally: find love and a life partner." - Tom Keogh, Seattle Times

"It's a delight of a film, but it also examines problems of assimilation, culture clash, modern romance and the value (or prison) of tradition. Which is quite a bit of stuff for a movie that's just plain fun to watch." - Tom Long, Detroit News
