CAPE FEAR MEMORIAL BRIDGE: Updates, resources, and context

C'est La Guerre-What's up their furry sleeves?

Nina Bays Cournoyer & her Piggy friend
What to expect: Experimental soundscape by The Non-Existent Trio, backyard barn lounge, screen-your-own tee, live painting by Cammeron Batanides, handmade WildBeings spirit-animal hunt, creature kissing booth...

The new art production company, C'estLa Guerre, has  a secret that's under wraps until Saturday night.  And the only way to hear the announcement about their next project is to wear an animal mask to their Outsider Art Celebration Animal FARMraiser Saturday, 4/25 at the Goat & Compass from 9:00pm to Midnight.   It's just $5 to experience music, art, and various oddities.

Founding artist of C'est La Guerre, Nina Bays Cournoyer, was coy and unfortunately wouldn't give us much information about the contents of Saturday night's announcement, but it does sound like it will be a theatrical event.  The company's inaugural performance last year was the play "The Lady in Question," which sold out all 4 performances at the Blind Elephant.

Listen to the interview and perhaps you'll find some clue about the secret, or just go to the event Saturday night--and don't forget your mask (although, they will have some extras for the unprepared).
