Attorney Michael Lee Running for Boseman's Seat

Wilmington, NC – Wilmington attorney Michael Lee has officially announced his bid for State Senator Julia Boseman's seat.

Lee challenged Boseman last year, and was defeated by roughly 3,000 votes.

In an email sent out to supporters, Lee said he is starting his campaign early in what's turning out to be a lively Republican primary. Another Wilmington attorney, Thom Goolsby has already thrown his hat in the ring, along with $200,000of his own money.

Boseman says she's not running for re-election.

Nobody from the Democratic party has declared their candidacy, although Wilmington Mayor Bill Saffo says he is considering a run.
