Utah Charter School Nurtures Entrepreneurial Spirit

A new charter school in Utah wants to equip students in kindergarten through ninth grade with a solid foundation in business.

Students' daily lessons are peppered with concepts like sales and marketing, finance and entrepreneurship, says first-grade teacher Tammy Hill. "And that plays into leadership and improved math skills. And finance plays into every part of their lives."

Roads Divide Locals And Environmentalists In Utah

In Utah, thousands of dirt roads and paths cross federally owned lands, and now they're at the center of a dispute. Some locals say the state should own and maintain the roads. They want to make sure they're accessible to ATVs and other off-road vehicles. Environmentalists insist the dirt roads should remain under federal protection. Whittney Evans of member station KUER in Salt Lake City heard from both sides firsthand.
