Kristine Moore
Board MemberKristine Moore has been coming to the Wilmington / Topsail area, a place she’s long considered to be a “little slice of heaven,” for over 45 years. In 2016 she enthusiastically made Hampstead her permanent home after a 30+ year international career spanning oil and gas, professional services and information technology.
Kristine grew up in Marietta, OH and earned a BS in Civil Engineering from Rice University in Houston, TX. She started her career in Houston with IBM and held a progression of sales and marketing roles, largely focused on global accounts. After 17 years, she left IBM to start an internet company that provided services to the oil & gas industry. In 2001 she joined Royal Dutch Shell in business development and by 2005 had moved abroad to The Netherlands for 10 years, taking on a series of roles in supply chain, contracting and procurement. Now retired from Shell, she was most recently a Non-Executive Director for Achilles, Ltd, a company based in London.
Kristine is a long-standing advocate for Public Radio and TV, relying heavily on it as a trusted source of local, national and international news. It was only natural to look to WHQR to get connected to the community and gain a deeper understanding of the Wilmington area. She is excited to work directly with WHQR’s team to uphold the tradition of providing the community a mix of rich entertainment and reliable information while providing a platform for respectful discourse.
