Leadership Circle

WHQR's Leadership Circle is a unique opportunity for contributors to qualify and be recognized for their significant contributions to the enhancement and sustainability of the station.  Supporters contributing a minimum annual gift of $1,000 are automatically enlisted as members of the Leadership Circle.

Stock Gifts

Gifts of appreciated stock, bonds, or mutual funds to WHQR may offer considerable tax advantages. Securities held for more than one year may provide a twofold tax benefit creating an income tax deduction and the avoidance of a capital gains tax that may have been due upon sale. Please consult your tax professional.

IRA Minimum Distribution Charitable Gift Option

This option may be attractive to those 70 1/2 year and older who are required to make an annual minimum IRA withdrawal. It may allow the avoidance of income tax consequences by directly transferring the minimum distribution to WHQR. Please consult your tax professional.
