The public is invited (please see below for reservations). Snacks will be provided.</p><p>Station staff and Board will review the events of the past year, including personnel and program changes, progress toward signing on the second (all-classical) station, our capital campaign, pending purchase of our office and studio space, election of new Board members, and more. Diane has deeply appreciated the many kind words of support during John’s long illness. &nbsp;<br />&nbsp;<br />Katty Kay is hosting The Diane Rehm Show today. You May be Hearing 'Ducting.' <p>We have been getting quite a few comments from listeners concerning&nbsp;signal issues during recent broadcasts of Morning Edition. What listeners are hearing is the natural phenomenon of "tropospheric ducting." While tropospheric propagation&nbsp;can do some really cool stuff to radio signals (like bounce them from very, very far away), it mostly just mixes distant signals broadcasting at the same frequency. A logging crew was removing a dead tree and the tree came down on the power line leading to our transmitter site!
