The Department of Housing and Urban Development is expected to release the grant application in June. And to be a contender for this thirty million-dollar award, Wilmington must demonstrate significant community buy-in. Yesterday, the <a href="http://www.wha.net/">Wilmington Housing Authority</a> was awarded a $94,000 grant from the <a href="http://portal.hud.gov/hudportal/HUD">United States Department of Housing and Urban Development</a>--or HUD--which translates to fifteen housing vouchers for area veterans.
