This week’s comments are kind of a grab bag, including several from people who’ve made pledges in the last few weeks. Jason Crowgey says:

I love Science Friday and the Writer's Almanac. It's nice to live in a town with a public radio station.

John Earley says:

I miss Thistle and Shamrock!

Spring Harkins says:

My job is driving all day, and if it weren't for you guys I couldn't do it. I'm so happy this area has such a great public radio station.

Thank you for all of your fine programming. I so much enjoyed the Ted Talk discussions on Sunday at 6 p.m.; however, you carried that program for such a short time. … Please reconsider.

You could take a lesson from WFAE! I just moved here from Charlotte and was seriously disappointed with your station. I listen to NPR for news and stories, not classical music. There are other stations for that. I will not contribute to your station.

A number of listeners wrote on our website about the proposed baseball stadium in Wilmington. I won’t go over them here, since the purpose of Friday Feedback is on WHQR’s operation, and not the issues we cover. But a couple of people commented on our reporting.

Listener Jennifer wrote to us last week:

Although I'm often not a fan of the tracks selected, I AM a big fan of the idea and spirit behind Smooth Landing - which I consider to be an example of local programming at its best … I was blown away by the quality of music selected [recently] by guest host Jeremy Loeb - so much so that I wanted to write to say a) I hope you keep Smooth Landing as a part of your broadcast for a long time to come and b) … I hope to hear more of Jeremy's musical picks in the future. Thanks and keep up the good work.
