Next CoastLine: Arts Education and Children

On the next CoastLine, Wednesday, August 27 at 2 pm, we will be discussing the importance of the arts on child development. The experts say it's necessary - but is it? Is there a tangible payoff to engaging children in the arts? Is art education a necessity or a privilege? What programs do we offer kids to engage with art in the Cape Fear Region?

Midday Interview: "Venus in Fur"

Imaginary Theatre Company presents Venus in Fur by David Ives.  Director Lee Lowrimore and actress Anna Stromberg tell us about this daring, erotic, mysterious comic drama.  It stars Anna Stromberg and Mike O’Neill.

The show opens this week at Cape Fear Playhouse, 613 Castle Street.  It runs Thursday-Saturday at 8 and Sunday at 3 through June 23.  Tickets at BigDawgProductions.org
