Geneva Reid

Geneva Reid taught in the Department of English at the University of Memphis (Tennessee) for 25 years. She was a writer, advisor, and teacher for the FedEx Leadership Institute in Memphis for 15 years.

Geneva retired and moved to Wilmington in 2004, along with her husband, to join their children and grandson.  Geneva has been an active volunteer for several non-profits since arriving in Wilmington, including WHQR, the Cape Fear Literacy Council, Domestic Violence Shelter & Services, Inc., and the Dance Cooperative. She is currently on the board at Domestic Violence Shelter and Services, Inc., the Wilmington Woman’s Club, and the UNCW Adult Scholars.
